Samsung DVD-HD931 DVD Player: Product Of The Week
Sunday July 27, 2003
High definition DVDs aren't here yet, but Samsung has come out with the next best thing, a DVD player that will upconvert its signal output to either 720p or 1080i. In other words, if you own an HD or HD-upradable TV with DVI input, you can watch any DVD in High Definition, thanks to its Faroudja de-interlacer/scaler. This works especially well with Plasma and LCD monitors as well as DLP video projectors. Of course, the DVD-HD931 has all the standard video outputs and features you would expect from a DVD player, including CD/CDR/CDRW/MP3 and WMA playback.
