SRS Labs' Circle Surround Continues To Gain Momentum...

Thursday August 28, 2003
Most consumers are aware of Dolby Digital and DTS Surround, and their inclusion in most home theater AV products. However, SRS Circle Surround is also becoming a growing presence in home theater. This alternative and effective surround sound option is not only available on a growing number of AV receivers, but Circle Surround encoding will soon be available on standard music CDs as well. CDs encoded with Circle Surround are completely compatible with all standard CD players. However, when such CDs are played through an AV receiver or amplfier equipped with a Dolby Prologic II or Circle Surround decoder, the music is transformed into a full 5.1 channel soundfield. For more information on this, check out the above press release from SRS Labs.
