Matsushita/Toshiba CRT Plant Goes Wide

While Thomson announced last week that it is closing its U.S. CRT (Picture Tube) manufacturing facilities, Matsushita (parent of Panasonic) and Toshiba have just announced a major commitment to manufacture its 16x9 widescreen picture tubes, for use in HDTVs, in its plant in Troy, Ohio.
