DirecTV to Have 1000 HD Channels By 2007
Friday September 10, 2004
In a bold committment to advance the acceptance of HDTV, DirecTV is planning to launch four new satellites in the next three years in a specific strategy to provide comprehensive HDTV service, both local and national, to its subscribers. This move may be great news for consumers, but not-so-good news for its competitors; DishNetwork, VOOM, and local cable services. All in hd-lite!
1000 by 2007? That means they will add 990 in two months - DirecTV better get crackin’!!
Oh I get it…….Joke of the day!
You have to realize that this prediction was made in 2004, and obviously has not come to pass by 2007.
