Intel Abandons LCoS

Although it is a promising technology for use in video display applications, such as video projectors and projection televisions, LCoS (Liquid Crystal on Silicon) continues to lose favor, as Intel decides to drop its LCoS program as a result of development issues, lukewarm manufacturer support, and strong competition from Texas' Instruments popular DLP technology.
