Hotel TVs Get An HDTV Facelift
Sunday May 15, 2005
I don't know about you, but when I am on vacation or a business trip, I really don't spend much time in my hotel room, and I don't think of a hotel room as my favorite TV watching venue. However, that could change, as the days of the small 19-inch hotel TV may be over soon, at least with the Marriott hotel chain, which has announced that it is embarking on a program to outfit its higher-end hotel rooms with new flat panel LCD HDTVs. The new HDTVs will serve both as a means for television viewing, and have additional connectivity for multi-media and business applications. With continued price reductions for HDTVs, this concept will surely filter down to less expensive hotels.
