Sharp Sees The Big Picture In LCD TV

Sharp Electronics is gearing up to take on big screen plasma televisions as it has broken ground on a new LCD glass manufacturing plant that is specifically designed to turn out 40 inch (16x9 diagonal) and larger glass panels in mass quantities for use in a new generation of large screen high definition LCD televisions. As a result of more efficient and innovative manufacturing techniques, Sharp believes that now is the time for LCD to surpass Plasma in both price and performance.
