Yamaha Announces Two New HDMI-Equipped Home Theater Receivers

On the heals of its introduction of the HDMI-Equipped RX-V4600 Home Theater Receiver, Yamaha has announced two more HDMI-compatible receivers, the RX-V2600 and RX-V1600. Both units feature two HDMI inputs and one output, video Time Base Corrector, composite, S-Video, and component video to HDMI conversion, and built-in XM-Satellite Radio compatibility. In addition, the RX-V2600 also has a built-in video de-interlacer/scaler that provides scaling of all video input signals to 720p or 1080i output. The RX-V2600 features 130 WPC amplification across 7 channels, while the RX-V1600 offers 120 WPC across 7 channels; both receivers feature multi-zone capability as well.
