New Orleans Disaster May Hasten DTV Transition

How could the tragic disaster in New Orleans accelerate the date of the U.S. transition to DTV and HDTV-only broadcasting? According to Senator John McCain (R- Arizona), some of the transmission frequencies currently used by Television Broadcasters for analog TV transmission may be needed for an expanded emergency broadcast infrastructure.
