Saturday Night Live Goes Hi-Def
Monday September 26, 2005
NBC's Saturday Night Live was an unknown quantity in TV back on October 11, 1975, when George Carlin hosted the first episode. However, the show soon became a ground breaking series highlighting outrageous comedy, political satire, and high-profile musical guests. Beginning this week, on October 1, 2005, Saturday Night Live begins its 31st season with incorporation of a new dimension, High Definition. Guest Host, Steve Carrell (The Office, 40-Year Old Virgin), kicks off the new season in HD. For additional details, check out the announcement from NBC/Universal. If you have been putting off the purchase of an HDTV, Saturday Night Live in Hi-Def is another great reason to finally make the jump.
