Samsung Shows Off Really Big Flat Panel TVs

Wednesday September 28, 2005
Once upon-a-time, a company from Korea, whose name started with "S", burst on the scene with inexpensive TVs. From this modest beginning, Samsung is now a world leader in television manufacturing, which now has that other "S" from Japan (Sony) knocking on its door for help in the production of LCD televisions.

In a statment of its technological prowess, Samsung is currently showing off an 82-inch LCD TV, which is by far the World's largest. This flat panel monster joins Samsung's 102-inch Plasma and 40-inch OLED flat panel televisions, making the former upstart the world's record holder, in terms of screen size, of three flat panel television technologies. There is no current timeable as to when these units would be made available for the consuming public, or how much they would cost. However, if you have to ask what the price is, you probably couldn't afford one anyway. For more details on the features and specifications of Samsung's Really-Big flat panel sets, check out the report from Audioholics.
