Taiwanese Company Develops Quad High Definition LCD Panel
Monday October 24, 2005
Chi Mei Optoelectronics of Taiwan has just announced a new LCD panel that has four times the resolution of today's LCD televisions. With a native pixel resolution of 3840x2160, the new 56-inch panel will be able to support any new high-definition format that comes along. In fact, such a panel will allow viewers to watch four standard high definition images on the screen at once. Although it will be a while before such LCD panels reach the average consumer, it is certainly a statement on the rapid perfection of LCD television technology.
