LCD Televisions May Rule Holiday Shopping Season
Monday October 31, 2005
If analysts prove to be correct, this year's holiday shopping season may be dominated by consumers purchasing LCD flat panel televisions. 32-inch LCD televisions are currently selling for an average price that is about half as much as last year, with some sets selling near the $1,000 price point. As a result of this trend, sales of flat panels may indeed cut deep into the market share currently held by traditional tube sets. For additional perspective on this possible trend, check out the report from Business Week.
