Sony Announces New Sub-Compact High Definition Camcorder
Why is this important for home theater consumers? With the growing number of HDTVs in homes, the average Hi8 or miniDV camcorder just doesn't measure up to capabilities of HDTV. Priced at $1,700, the new Sony HC3 may be an affordable way for consumers to record home videos in high definition, with a camcorder small enough to take just about anywhere. In fact, according to Sony's specs, it can also take digital still photos at a respectable 2.3 megapixel resolution.
