Toshiba Delays HD-DVD Player Release
Tuesday March 28, 2006
March 28th was supposed to be the day that Toshiba hit the market with two HD-DVD players, but, alas, that is not going to be the case. Now, the release date has been delayed until later in April, in order to coincide with the delayed release of initial HD-DVD movie titles. However, the number of initial titles will be reduced from original plans, leaving first buyers with little to play on the new Hi-Def machines. Obviously, retailers are not too happy with this turn of events. If this confusion continues, consumers may just lose interest. For additional details, check out the report from Washington Post/Reuters.
