Movie Studios Postpone Full Hi-Def Copy Protection

If you are considering making the jump to an HD-DVD or Blu-ray Disc player and are concerned that you won't be able to access the full high definition signal because your HDTV does not have an HDMI or DVI-HDCP input, take heart. In a common sense decision, the movie studios are postponing the full implemenation of high definition copy-protection so that current owners of HDTVs that access high definition signals only through HD-component inputs can get the benefits of the new high definition DVD formats.
