I get a lot of questions about what types of connections are available on various components and what what they connect to.

The purpose of this article is to educate those that are unfamiliar with these connections. Not everyone knows what an HDMI connection or 5.1 analog audio connections are and what they are used for.

If you already know this information, these this article may not be important to you, but those novices that are unfamiliar with what all the different types of connections are and what they do, then this is a useful resource that helps them understand what they are getting into.
