Star Trek Receiving Hi-Def Treatment

Although there is no first-run Star Trek series currently, it doesn't mean that interest in the franchise is dead. According to an official report, Paramount is in the process of re-doing the special effects space shots in the original Star Trek series and re-release the popular classic series in Hi-Def. In addition, it is being reported that the remaining Trek series' may also receive the Hi-Def treatment. Add the complete compilation of theatrical Star Trek Films being considered for release on Blu-ray and/or HD-DVD and both Star Trek and HDTV fans may have something to celebrate.
