Have Blu-ray and HD-DVD Already Failed?

With Blu-ray and HD-DVD Players finally on store shelves, both reviewers and consumers who have tested or purchased players in either, or both, formats are speaking out on how they feel about the Blu-ray/HD-DVD story. Is one format actually better than the other? Will one format win out over the other? Will some sort of combo Player or Disc put the brakes on the Blu-ray/HD-DVD War? Will both formats just gradually fade away like SACD and DVD-Audio?
