Stewart Filmscreen Adds Curves to Home Theater

Saturday October 7, 2006
Home theater has certainly evolved from the days of the 27-inch TV and Hi-Fi Stereo VCR, having been replaced by the HDTV and DVD Player. In addition, the high definition video projector, which was out of reach of most consumers just a few years ago, is now becoming more affordable, and is taking center stage in many home theater setups. However, besides the video projector, the projection screen is equally important in bringing the movie theater experience home.

Stewart Filmscreen has just elevated the home theater experience further with the release of its Cine-W line of video projection screens. What makes a Cine-W different is that it is curved on the sides, just like the screen in many local cinemas. The curved nature of the screen reduces shape distortion on the edges of the screen that can occur when watching cinemascope and other widescreen image formats on a typical flat projection screen.
