Demystifying Audio and Video Connections

Tuesday October 24, 2006
Are you confused about how to hook-up your audio and video components? If so, there are two good resources here at About.com that can help.

First, familiarize yourself with the various types of connections and connectors, that are used in home theater set-ups, by checking out my Home Theater Connection Photo Gallery. This useful gallery not only has photos of common home theater connections and connectors, but also features a detailed explanation on what they do.

The second great resource to check out is a great AV Wiring Connection Guide by Matt Torres, About.com Guide for TV/Video. This gallery illustrates, via easy-to-understand block diagrams, how to connect your audio and video components together.
