Tube TVs Outsell Flat Panels During This Past Pre-Superbowl Week

The numbers are in and, surprisingly, the traditional tube television (also referred to as Direct View CRT) actually outsold both LCD and Plasma television in the week prior to this past SuperBowl. What happened? Does this mean that the traditional tube TV is still desirable to the average consumer, or is it just the last surge before tube TVs face final extinction.
