Universal Sticking With HD-DVD - For Now...

Despite rumors to the contrary, Universal Studios has officially stated that it is staying with the HD-DVD format exclusively. Universal and Paramount/Dreamworks are the only major studios publically supporting HD-DVD. For more details, check out the report from High-Def Digest.

Stick a fork in it. It’s done already!!!
If Universal and Paramount want to see Hi-Def discs succeed there’s no sense in dragging this out any longer. I have been supporting both formats from the get-go and I must say, while it looks cool to have both BD and HD-DVD players in my AV rack, it’s really hard for me to justify investing in both any longer. I just one format and that will be BD. So long HD-DVD it’s been fun… Time to move on.
