SONY BDP-S300 Blu-ray Disc Player - Product of the Week

The BDP-S300 is an entry-level Blu-ray format player from Sony, which can be found for $399, or less, at most retailers. This unit plays Blu-ray discs at full 720p, 1080i, or 1080p resolution via its HDMI output. The BDP-S300 is also playback compatible with standard DVDs, most recordable DVD formats, as well as standard audio CDs. In addition, standard DVDs are upscaled to 720p, 1080i, or 1080p via the HDMI output. For those considering adding a Blu-ray Disc player to a home theater system, the BDP-S300 is one way to go without spending a lot of money.
