Panasonic Blu-ray Disc Recorder Reaches Australia...Is The U.S. Next?

Although standalone Blu-ray Disc Recorders have been available in Japan for almost two years now, such units hae not been available for purchase in most other parts of the World. However, Panasonic will finally be marketing its first Blu-ray Disc Recorder outside of Japan in Australia this Summer. The DMR-BW500 Blu-ray Disc recorder not only features both Blu-ray and DVD recording, but also houses a hefty 500GB Hard Drive. When will such a unit be available for U.S. consumers?
