The Onkyo HT-S5100 is a Home Theater-in-a-Box system that delivers performance, as well as providing lots of practical features, for a reasonable price. This system includes 7.1 channels with 130x7WPC with a low .9% THD distortion rating. NOTE: The wattage output is measured at 1KHz; Actual power output across all frequencies will be lower. For a big punch the HTS-5100 provides a 10-inch 290-watt powered subwoofer. The HT-S5100 offers practicality with HDMI pass-through switching, Sirius Satellite Radio capability (with optional tuner/antenna), and iPod connectivity using the provided Docking Station. Also, to make set up easier, this system includes the Audyssey 2EQ automatic speaker setup system. If you are looking for an all-in-one home theater system that offers a lot of flexibility, and sounds pretty good, for a reasonable price, check out the Onkyo HT-S5100 as one possibility.

I just bought this model from Amazon. I really love it. It packs a good punch and the setup is fairly easy.
Small correction to the description, though. There is no HDMI 1.3 compatibility. It is only pass-through of the audio. That is, the receiver will not output audio that come in from the HDMI port it will only “pass it through” to the HDMI output port. So on my set up I connected the HDMI to pass the signal through to my TV, but to get audiou to the receiver (and, thus, the speakers) I had to use a separate audio connection. In my case I used a digital optical cable. But, I must say I love this system. It can take all signals and output them to all 7.1 speakers, using various output modes. Really nice for my iPod and great to watch the Olypics. Felt like I was in the crowd.
