Sneak Peek: Yamaha's Forthcoming Blu-ray Disc Player

According to several sources, Yamaha is poised to announce its own entry into the Blu-ray Disc Player market. Designed to complement its mid-to-high end home theater receiver line-up, the new S2900 is expected to extensive audio and video features and also to carry a $1,000+ price tag. One disappointment (if the sources are correct) is that the S2900 will conform to Profile 1.1 specifications, and not the more current Profile 2.0 spec.
