Memorex Announces Budget-Priced Blu-ray Disc Player

With the economic downturn, combined with the pressure to buy affordable gifts for the upcoming Winter Holidays, Memorex has announced an affordable Blu-ray Disc player that may be an attractive gift option. With an announced price of $269, the MVBD-2510 offers the basics, Blu-ray/DVD/CD playback, on-board decoding of Dolby Digital Plus and Dolby TrueHD, and features both HDMI and 5.1 channel analog audio outputs. One disappointment is that the player does not offer the latest Profile 2.0 (BD-Live) functioning, but does adhere to Profile 1.1 (Bonus View) specifications.
