VIZIO Stages A Frontal Assault With New Product Line

Brands such as Sony, Panasonic, and Samsung have been riding high in the flat panel television market for some time, and have been successful in fending off upstart competition, but VIZIO continues to take on the "big boys" with a successful formula of low prices, big box retail channels, and a decent performing product.

As a result of this success, and despite the current economic climate, VIZIO is introducing 31 new LCD Televisions divided into three product lines.

The XVT line includes its new 55-inch flagship unit that features LED backlighting and 240Hz frame processing technology at a $2,200 price point (now slated for September release). The other sets in this line all feature 120Hz frame rate processing, incorporate thin design profiles, come in sizes ranging from 32 to 55 inches.

The new M series sets from VIZIO still feature 120Hz screen refresh rates, 1080p resolution, and come in screen sizes ranging from 32 to 47-inches.

For those looking for a budget-priced set that still offers good performance, VIZIO offers their new E series sets, which emphasize lower power consumption and come in screen sizes ranging from 19 to 42-inches.
