Tuesday August 11, 2009

Have you shopped for a DVD Recorder recently and have found slim-pickins on store shelves? It is not your imagination. While DVD recorders are thriving in other parts of the World and Blu-ray Disc recorders are all the rage in Japan and being introduced in several other markets, the U.S. is being left out of the video recording equation; and it is being left out on purpose. (1) Russell says:

Not only are DVD Recorders impossible to find, you can no longer obtain SVHS or SuperBeta recording tapes. A first generation SVHS or SuperBeta on high quality tape was as good as most standard DVD’s.

This means that even if you just want to copy and collect TV commercials, as I do, you cannot archive anything in better than standard VHS quality.

We need to organize a complete and total boycott of the Entertainment industry and DEMAND copyright laws be repealed in this country!
