This year's Annual CEDIA EXPO was held in Atlanta, Georgia from Sept 9th through the 13th, 2009. This is the event where Home Theater Installers, Consumer Electronics Manufacturers, and Journalists gather every year to see not only what products are now, and will be available in the coming year, but to see prototypes of future products that are still in development. The CEDIA EXPO is organized by CEDIA (Custom Electronic Design and Installation Assocation), the largest trade organization for Home Theater Installers, Electronic Home Automation System Contractors, and Specialized Consumer Electronics Manufacturers.

This trade show not only provides a look at new and upcoming Home Theater and Home Automation products, but also provides training and certification for home theater installers and related professionals, via classes and seminars, during its five day run.

Some of the products in the spotlight at this year's show included: Lots of new Blu-ray Disc players, an increasing number of televisions and video projectors incorporating "LED" technology, a plethora of comprehensive remote control and home networking solutions, and, of course, there were numerous 3D demos.

As your intrepid Home Theater Guide, I was on-hand in Atlanta to check out the latest products and other news from the CEDIA EXPO. For a look at what CEDIA was all about, check out my Best of CEDIA 2009 Photo Gallery and Report. CEDIA Logo (c) CEDIA
