When you think of Sharp, LCD TVs come to mind, however, they also make other products, including home theater-in-a-box systems and sound bars. Recently, at CES 2010, Sharp showed off a new system that combines a sound bar for the left, center, and right channels, a set of surround speakers, a powered subwoofer, and integrated receiver/blu-ray disc player.

On the video side, the included Blu-ray disc player also plays DVDs, CDs, MP3, and JPEG photo discs, and also is BD-Live (Profile 2.0) and Netflix Streaming capable.

On the audio side of things, the BD-MPC41 incorporates Dolby® True HD and DTS-HD Master Audio Essential decoding as well as a suite of Audyssey audio processing technologies including Dynamic EQ, Bass XT, and Dynamic Volume, and also has built-in iPod connectivity.

Pricing for the BD-MPC41 has been set at $749.99 and should be available this Spring. Official Sharp Announcement Photo (c) Robert Silva - Licensed to About.com
