Home Theater 3D product announcements continue to roll in as Panasonic becomes the latest to release its 3D TV product line into the U.S. market. Touting faster image response times, Panasonic is confident that its emphasis on Plasma TV technology will gain acceptance with consumers. However, before you rush out to be the first on your block to own a 3D TV (whether plasma or LCD), it is important to note that necessary 3D content using the new standards, although forthcoming, is not available yet. As 3D-enabled TVs and Blu-ray Disc players reach store shelves, 3D content will follow, but it will be trickle at first.

For more details on Panasonic's announcement, check out the report from Geeks are Sexy and a follow-up report from The HD Room. Also, for additional background information on what you need to know about 3D, check out my 3D Home Theater Basics
