LG Intros 3D Sound Home Theater-in-a-Box System

3D-TV is certainly the big buzzword in Home Theater these days, and most would say, including myself, that the concept of 3D sound is already embodied as Surround Sound, but that isn't stopping LG from labeling its new HX900 Home Theater-in-a-Box system as a "3D sound system".

The way that LG is applying its new 3D sound concept is certainly innovative. In addition to having the speakers in the system directing sound outward, each speaker assembly also incorporates a "Vertical Effects Channel" by adding speakers mounted on top and pointing vertically. Combining this with Dual Subwoofers and "Cinema Dome Effect" audio processing, the listener will experience room filling sound coming from all directions, creating a more natural audio experience.
