Transformers: Dark of the Moon is mastered in Dolby TrueHD 7.1 and takes full advantage of all seven channels almost continuously. The abundant use of the surround channels really immerse you into the film.
However, although the film was originally released in 3D, this initial Blu-ray release is only available in 2D (there is a coupon in the package for $10 off the forthcoming 3D version), but even in 2D there is a lot of depth in the image. Transformers: Dark of the Moon on 2D Blu-ray is definitely worth it as a great home theater demo disc on how well how well surround sound can be utilized. However, there are no special features, its plot is thin, the script is cliche, and I felt the acting was "phoned in".
