According to a new study from the Nielson Company (the folks that do those TV ratings), 15% of kids aged 6-12 surveyed indicated that they would be interested in buying a Blu-ray Disc player and 20% would be interested in buying a TV within the next 6 months. Also, in the next group surveyed (Ages 31 and Up), 17% want to buy TV and 16% want to buy a TV.
Although those percentages do not indicate the main gadget interest of a majority of kids, they beat out other popular gadgets. However, the most desirable gadget for both groups was far-and-away, the Apple iPad.

A great home theater gadget for kids is the new weemote X. We got one for our four year old son for his birthday and now we are getting another for my 70 year old father in law. It’s super hi-tech but really easy to use. Actually, I like using it myself because I can’t mess up all the settings that my husband has on the big tv.
