InstaPrevue will allow consumers to switch between the receiver's HDMI inputs visually. In other words, instead of trying to remember what was connected to HDMI 1, HDMI 2, etc..., or read the input labeling (BD, DVD, CD, etc...) on the receiver's front panel, when you activate the input selector on your Onkyo receiver's remote, you will see small PIP images appear on your TV screen so you can actually see what what is connected to each input. Then, just click on what you want to see full screen and it is there.
This system also makes switching between HDMI input sources connected to your receiver much faster, curing one of the problems with HDMI, which is slow switching speed. Check out a video demonstration from InstaPrevue developer Silicon Image.
The second feature that Onkyo is adapting to their receiver line is MHL (Mobile High-Definition Link). This is a new connection standard that allows mobile devices, such as cell phones, to transfer up to 1080p video and 8-channels of uncompressed audio directly to a home theater receiver. MHL is compatible with HDMI via MHL-to-HDMI connection cables.
In addition, this system also allows the connected device to be both charged and controlled by the receiver's remote control while connected. Check out a more detailed description provided by Silicon Image and video demonstration from MHL Tech.

It is always essential to choose the best home theater review in the internet. Sometimes, people fool around with reviews that often lead other people to buy unreliable home theaters.
