After a shaky start in 2011, which included the eventual drop-out of Logitech as a partner, Google TV seems to be revving back up for a good year in 2012, starting with several presentations during CES 2012.

With the implementation of Google TV 2.0, that includes the incorporation of the Android 3.1 OS, Sony has decided to continue as a partner, and the new platform is expected to also debut on LG, Samsung, and Vizio TV products at this year's CES. Also, with Intel moving away from Smart TV chips, Google is now partnering with Marvell and Mediatek to supply chipsets that provide hardware support for the interactive platform.
