If you have a high-end home theater setup and would like to add 3D to the mix, then you might want to check out the latest projector in Runco's LightStyle line, the LS-12d.
The LS-12d features a very stylish curved design with a center mounted lens, and is available in a variety of custom colors.
The LS-12d incorporates 3-chip DLP technology, which does not require a color wheel and eliminates the Rainbow Effect. The LS-12d also features 1920x1080 (1080p) Native Pixel Resolution (in both 2D and 3D modes), up to 1845 ANSI lumens of light output (supported by a lamp that is switchable from 230 to 260 watts), and a stated 10,000:1 Contrast Ratio (250:1 CSMS). Projector lamp life is 2,000 hours in standard mode and 3,000 hours in Economy mode.
The recommended screen width range for the LS-12d is 72 to 120 inches, with a maximum 180 inch screen width. The LS-12d also incorporates power zoom and focus, as well as 65% vertical and 30% horizontal lens shift options. The LS-12d can also accept a variety of lens for specific projector setup requirements or preferences.
Getting down to connectivity, the LS-12d utilizes a supplementary controller, the Dimension Digital Controller DC-300, that houses the inputs (including eight HDMI), outputs (two HDMI audio/video - one HDMI audio-only), video processing, and control tasks for the Runco LS-12d.
The LS-12d/DC-300 package also comes with three pairs of active shutter 3D glasses. The active shutter system allows the LS-12d to be used with any type of screen, a special polarized screen is not required.
The price for the LS-12d/DC-300 package is $27,995, which is definitely not for the bargain hunter, but for those familiar with Runco, this is actually one of their more affordable projector packages, especially when you consider the inclusion of a 3-Chip DLP projector with 3D capability, and external video processor/controller. On the other hand, keep in mind that any additional lenses cost extra.

At $28,000 the new lamp will probably be about $1500 and last
about 18 months.
What else could you buy with that kind of money? Here in depressed Florida, you could buy a one bedroom condo for that kind of money.
Do you think this projector is nine times better than a $3000 projector?
