The David Lean classic, Lawrence of Arabia, will arrive on Blu-ray in spectacular fashion on November 13th 2012, following a special 50th anniversary theatrical release on October 4th.

The film will be offered in two Blu-ray packages. The standard Two-Disc Set includes the film on one disc and several supplementary featurettes on the second disc. The Limited Edition Four-Disc Collector's Gift Set adds another bonus feature Blu-ray disc, a soundtrack-only audio CD, an 88-page photo illustrated coffee table book, and also includes a newly-printed 70mm film frame from the movie. Both packages provide access to an Ultraviolet Digital Copy of the film.

For the Blu-ray disc release, the film has been restored and remastered in 4K before being scaled down to 1080p, and the audio soundtrack has also been remastered in 5.1 channel surround sound.

The added bonus material featured on both the two and four disc packages include a new interview with star Peter O'Toole, a Making-of documentary, an interview with Steven Spielberg, and several additional featurettes. However, if you opt for the Limited Edition Four-Disc Collector's Gift Set, you will have access to additional bonus features, such as a never-before-offered deleted scene, some insights and perspective on the film from Martin Scorsese, and several additional short documentaries, trailers, and TV spots.

The suggested price for the 4-Disc set is $95.99 and is available for pre-order: Compare Prices. Image Provided by Sony Pictures Home Entertainment.
