If you are looking for an LCD TV that provides solid performance without a lot of frills (that means no 3D or internet streaming capability), then check out the Samsung UN46EH5000.

The Samsung UN46EH5000 sports a 46-inch screen size that is just right for most living rooms, and also features a 1080p native screen resolution, "Direct Lit" LED system, wide contrast ratio, and 120-Hz motion processing (60hz refresh rate with added processing). The picture is bright and produces well-saturated and accurate color, with even black level response.

Two HDMI inputs are included (however, many sets do offer three or four) for connecting a Blu-ray Disc player or other HDMI-equipped devices, as well as an ATSC tuner for reception of over-the-air HDTV broadcasts. In addition, the included USB port provides access to music, still photo, and video files stored on USB flash drives or other compatible devices.

For audio, the UN46EH5000 also provides onboard SRS TheaterSoundHD audio processing, supported by a down firing speaker system combined with a 20 watt (10x2) amplification system. However, best results can be obtained via connection to an external audio system.

I’ve always been a Vizio fan myself. I’ve been through a number of TVs over the years because I usually keep them on all the time. Its always hard to pick a new TV because of all the different specs and features that are constantly coming out . Pricing for what features the TV has is a big issue I find myself struggling with. One thing I always do is check reviews and pricing on sites like http://www.tvrevs.com or other sources and check out some reviews on the brand your thinking about getting. Just my two cents.
