Follow me on:

A digital coaxial connection refers to a wired connection that is used for transferring digital audio signals (such as PCM, Dolby Digital, and DTS) from a source device, such as CD, DVD, or Blu-ray disc player and an AV receiver or Surround Sound Preamp/Processor. Digital Coaxial Connections use RCA-style connection plugs.
