The 2013 NAMM (National Association of Music Merchants) trade show is being held in Anaheim, CA this week and one of the featured talents performing will be Sir Elton John, who is onhand to help celebrate the Yamaha's 125th Anniversary, that not only is well-known for its home theater and audio products, but is also one of the major musical instrument makers in the World.

While a select group of 2,000 Yamaha dealers will be able to experience the concert event onsite at the Hyperion Theater, located in nearby Disneyland California Adventure Park, the concert will be streamed around the world via the Yamaha and Elton John websites.

The concert begins at 8pm Pacific Standard Time, Friday, January 25th, with a bevy of guest performers, including Amy, Grant, Chaka Khan, Dave Grusin, Earth, Wind & Fire, David Foster, Dave Koz, and more... Elton John is expected to appear on stage at about 10:25pm PST.

The other star of the show will an internet-linked DisklavierTV piano. As Elton John plays, similar Disklavier pianos located in select venues around the World will also play. In other words, viewers and listeners present at the locations will hear a real piano playing live as Elton John plays back in Anaheim, just as if the famed musician was there in person.

This event should be a great example of the merging of live musical performance with video and audio streaming technology.
