In what may seem counter-intuitive for the internet streaming age, there is actually still room for a traditional no-frills, but high quality, CD-only player that can used in a dedicated two-channel audio system, or as an additional home theater add-on.
Let's face it, there are many consumers out there that still have large CD collections. Also, some have dedicated audio systems in rooms other than the one used for the main home theater setup.
With that in mind, NAD Electronics has announced its newest CD player, the C 516BEE. Inside its solid casing, the C 516BEE has a single disc loading tray and plays standard CD and CD-R/RW discs, as well as CD-recorded MP3 and WMA music files. For optimum sound reproduction quality, the player employs Cirrus Logic 24bit/192kHz D/A (digital-to-analog) converters. For connectivity, the C 516BEE provides analog, digital optical, and digital coaxial output options.
The C 516BEE is being offered for $299 and is available through authorized NAD Electronics dealers. For more details, read the Official Announcement posted by Ecoustics. Images provided by NAD Electronics
