All three sound bars incorporate a thin profile two-channel design with DTS TruSurround and TruVolume audio processing, as well as Bluetooth for wireless streaming of audio content from compatible portable devices (such as smartphones and tablets). Additional connectivity includes analog, digital optical, and digital coaxial audio inputs. All three sound bars also provide a wireless remote control. All three sound bars are table and wall mountable.
The S2920w is the smallest of the group, with a 29-inch wide form factor. This smaller size makes it a perfect complement for TVs with 26 to 40-inch screen sizes. Also, you can add an optional powered subwoofer for better deep bass response.
Vizio's second new sound bar entry, the S3820w, comes in at a 38-inch width, which is a great match for TVs ranging in screen size from 37 to 46-inches. In addition, the S3820w features a built-in Deep Bass module that enables it to produce better bass without the need for a subwoofer - However, it does provide a subwoofer output connection if you wish to add one.
The final new sound bar entry in this group is the S3821w. The unit features the same 38-inch width as the S3820w, but comes with a separate wireless subwoofer as part of the package, as well as incorporating a USB port for accessing audio files from USB plug-in devices, such as flash drives.
The S2920w will be available in September 2013 at a suggested price of $79.99 and the S3820w and S3831w are expected to be available in late August 2013 at $119.99 and $179.99 respectively.
