First off, the Onkyo TX-NR626 features a 7 channel speaker configuration with up to two subwoofers, and is rated at 95 Watts-per-Channel (measured at 8 ohms, from 20Hz to 20kHz, at .08% THD with two channels driven). This is enough power for small or medium size room.
On the video side, the TX-NR626 incorporates both 3D and 4K pass-through switching, a well as up to 4K video processing and scaling. There are also six HDMI inputs with InstaPrevue switching. Also, one of the HDMI inputs is MHL-compatible, (which provides direct access to 1080p video and 7.1 audio from compatible Smartphones or other devices). There are also two parallel HDMI outputs.
You can also plug-in a iPod/iPhone or USB flash drive into the front mounted USB port, as well as access content from DLNA-compatible network connected devices or Internet Radio radio services (Aupeo!, Pandora, Spotify, and more) via the built-in Ethernet port or Wifi.
