CES 2002 Photo Gallery Five
The official logo for CES 2002 (used by permission), Las Vegas, Nevada, January 8-11.
One the themes of this year's CES was flat and thin, which is best illustrated by Panasonic's prolific display of Plasma and LCD TV products.
In addition to plasma and LCD TV products, Panasonic showed off its RP91 progressive scan DVD Video/Audio Player with DVD-RAM playback capability as well as a special display on the benifits of DVD-Audio.
Camcorders weren't the main emphasis of the Panasonic exhibit, but several new models were introduced, including the new PV-DV952 3CCD miniDV model, equipped with a Leica lens, optical image stabilization, and SD-memory based digital still camera function.
Philips had an impressive display, despite a downturn this past year.
Check out some of Philip's 16x9 Direct View TVs.
Zenith, now owned by LG (formerly Goldstar), was also carrying out the theme of "flat-and-thin" with its display of Plasma TVs.
