Sharp, a leader in LCD technology, was on hand to display their extensive product line of LCD flat panel televisions, including a new line with custom wood finishes.

Toshiba was on hand with its line of new DVD products, including the first DVD/SACD/DVD-Audio 5-disc changer, SD-6915 (above left) and its latest DVD /80GB HDD recorder combo, the RD-XS32. Also coming soon from Toshiba, but not pictured (as no display was available) is a DVD/VCR recorder combo.

Another manufacturer that was onhand with a suprisingly large booth, was Daewoo, the third of the "big three" Korean manufacturers (along with LG and Samsung). Shown here is part of their DVD recorder lineup (including a DVD/VCR recorder combo).

In audio, Denon always has a great product lineup, and this year was no exception. Along with their traditional high-end product line, Denon also had some interesting "personal" audio products. Its D-M71DVSXP Personal Home Theater System utitlizes Dolby's new Virtual Speaker Decoding, which creates a credible 5.1 channel sound field from just two front speakers.

Denon is also committed to traditional audio components, as evidenced by its display of analog audio products, such as cassette decks and turntables. Also displayed were its line of traditional CD changers.

Along with all the latest digital audio and video products, the vacuum tube still has a place in modern consumer electronics. Fosgate displayed their uniquely-designed FAP-V1 5-channel vacuum tube preamp that incorporates Dolby ProLogic II.
