The suprise success of APEX DVD players in the U.S. market no-doubt inspired a stronger presence for the Chinese-based company at this year's CES. Products introduced this year were a line of flat screen TVs and DVD-Audio and DVD-SACD compatible players.

A closer look at some new APEX DVD players, note that each models comes in both black and silver.

Samsung enters the recordable DVD sweepstakes by standing alongside Panasonic with the DVD-RAM format.

Yamaha continues its great line of AV Receivers. Each display also shows the connectivity capability of their lineup.

Kenwood is the first maker to enter the market with receivers and home-theater-in-a-box systems equipped with the new Dolby Pro-Logic II decoder. Available soon at a retailer near you.

The debut of Harman Kardon's new venture with Zap Media, the DMC-100 Digital Media Center. This innovative unit combines a DVD/CD player with a 30GB hard drive for storing audio files from one's own CD collection or MP3 files downloaded from the internet (or a combination of both). With the ability of storing up to 10,000 songs this may just be the "ultimate" jukebox.
