Gateway Plasma Screen TV
From GTEGTE:
Dose anyone have any experience with the new Gateway 42" plasma screen TV. The price is very good but, I was only able to see the demo video in the store, and not a live TV broadcast. Any comments would be appreciated.

Top Ten DVDs For 2002
So, you got a new DVD player for the holidays and now you need some great movies to show it off. How about the top ten DVD releases for 2002 as chosen by Ivana Redwine, About Home Video/DVD guide?
FROM THE MAILBOX
From MB:
I am looking at purchasing a new S-VHS VCR. I am thinking about buying the JVC HR-S9911U S-VHS VCR to replace the VCR in my living room. I have another standard VCR in my daughter's bedroom that can only play back SP recordings. This is fine because all the Video's we rent are in this format. My question to you is, if I want to record a program in S-VHS mode using a S-VHS tape in SP mode, will it work on a normal VCR? When I read the JVC website they mention that the S-VHS "ET" mode will only play back on a JVC S-VHS "ET" compatible VCR. But what about S-VHS (standard, with no ET) recorded on a S-VHS tape. I am assuming that the HR-S9911 can record both S-VHS and S-VHS-ET. I am wondering if a S-VHS recording on a S-VHS tape can play on a standard VCR.
From Your Guide:
S-VHS recordings can only be played on S-VHS VCRs or standard VCRs with Quasi-S-VHS playback capability (check owner's manual of VCR in question). Also, S-VHS VCRs can also make standard VHS recordings.

A Special Reminder: Although I update this site regularly, sometimes I miss broken links, this is especially a concern as old product listings expire and new ones have different link addresses. If you encounter any broken links in my articles or listings, just bring it to my attention so I can correct the address or delete it from the site if it has expired and can no longer be accessed.
Lastly, I would like your feedback on this Weekly Site Update Page. If you have any comments, either positve or negative, just let me know.
